Lavonne Ponstein works for a youth ministry called TFC Connection (Teens For Christ), she loves coaching people so they can be released to become the Disciplemaker God created them to be.
She is from Kansas, the heartland of America, where she loves beautiful sunsets, wide open spaces and intentional relationships. For 33 years, she has invested her life in the teens of rural areas, with a deep interest in how to use Jesus’ disciplemaking strategy in ministry with teens. Moving teens forward to become disciplemakers became her passion, and now that passion has morphed in spurring on adults to become active, intentional disciplemakers. Lavonne says, “I have watched teens grasp what it means to be disciplemakers and seen how that understanding has launched them into become world impacting Christians in their fields of study or work as they leave our ministry.”
Lavonne is single and is blessed with an incredibly supportive family. She has made it her personal goal to be the “favorite aunt” in her family. There are few things she wouldn’t live without — having a dog to hug everyday and friends who will laugh with her as she walks through life. It is her desire to come alongside people wherever they are in their journey of life and assist them in taking steps to intentional living.
Lavonne has two coaching certificates: Bridges Coaching and Lifeforming. She invested in learning about coaching several years ago to develop her skills in helping others recognize how they could move forward as disciplemakers. She wants to live her life doing what Jesus did, helping people move forward from where they are to where they were created to live.
If you are looking for more in your life, Lavonne would love to come alongside you as a thinking partner to provide you with the spark of encouragement you need to move forward to reach your potential as a disciplemaker.
