When we look at certain things we just know what they are going to be when they “grow up”.
Acorns grow up to be oak trees.
Tulip bulbs mature to be tulips.
Puppies end up dogs.
Crias grow up to be ….
Do you know what crias grow up to be? Well, maybe you didn’t know that last one. It’s like that in life. Some things we just know we were born to become and sometimes we aren’t sure what we are supposed to be. (In case you are just dying to know – crias grow up to be alpacas.)
It’s like that with our destiny. Some things seeded within us we can readily identify, but other seeds may need some investigating.
Be sure of this~
Your Designer has seeded within you who He wants you to be. You have been given specific strengths, passions, dreams and so much more because He designed you with a unique purpose in mind.
However, if you don’t happen to do the investigation of who you were designed to be, if you don’t accept your individuality as part of His design for you, then you could miss out on what He designed you for and spend your life wishing you were someone else.
I once breathed a quick prayer of contrition for being so analytical. I didn’t want to be avoided as a critic. My prayer went something like this, “God, I am so sorry I evaluate everything around me.”
He answered me kindly, as He so often does when we are authentic, and said, “Why are you sorry? I made you that way. You just need to use your gift well.” My heart swelled with joy! I didn’t need to try and squelch who I am, I was designed to be who I am, but I did/do need to use my gift wisely.
What has God seeded within you?
Who does he want you to “grow up” to be?
What do you strengths do you need to care for and develop well?
